Alexandra Strnad is a poet, non-fiction writer, and playwright. She read English at the University of Cambridge, and graduated with a Master of Studies
in Creative Writing, with Distinction, from the University of Oxford. She served as a Poetry Editor for The Mays Anthology (2013), and was selected as one
of Oxford’s emerging poetic voices by the Oxford University Poetry Society. She was the 2014 Winner of the Jane Martin Poetry Prize and a 2016 Winner of the
Oxford University Parallel Universe Poetry Competition. A dual Czech-British national, she lived in Prague for several years, where she studied Czech at
Charles University. She is Poet-in-Residence at Carfax Education. H Is for Hadeda is her first pamphlet of poems. |
